I recently attended Horrocon International for the first time.
It is an expo dedicated to all things horror, Halloween and Day of the Dead Expo
in art, film and music.
I love classic horror films like Nosferatu, Frankenstein and almost every version of Dracula.
Also my favorite holiday is Halloween!
So I was very excited to have been asked to be a guest artist!
It was really fun! Lots of people came dressed up as their favorite movie characters.
They had horror book signings, showcased new films, and actors like Sid Haig made appearances.
There were many bands and lots of vendors showing all kinds of things like purses in the shape of coffins!
People even brought special "horror" goodies like zombie themed cookies and cupcakes topped with candy severed fingers! They even had a horror maze and a scream queen contest.
It was so great to meet fans in person!
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to say hello!
Here are some original paintings in acrylic I did for the show:
Elements of a Noir Boudoir. Complete with gothic hairbrush, vamp lipstick,
creepy comb, and skull perfume bottle.
Black Widow Valentine - Inspired by the original, Vampira!
A black widow spider, descending from a sparkling , jeweled spider web
offers his love to the very glamorous and
Noir Boudoir Dolly. A very friendly spider dusts
sparkly makeup on a sweet goth dolly.
Goth Pinup Mermaid with purple hair and a cute little octopus with a crown!
